Welcome to Isla Mujeres — an island paradise in the Mexican Caribbean just off the coast of Cancun. Known for its turquoise waters, powdery white beaches, and laid-back charm, Isla Mujeres is a place where time slows down and nature takes center stage. From snorkeling with sea turtles at Garrafón Reef to exploring the colorful streets of downtown, the island offers a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and tranquility. On the south-side of this tropical island you can find Pumbas Paradise: a vacation villa with a private pool surrounded by nature.

Isla Mujeres is a naturally beautiful island formed primarily from limestone rock, this geological makeup creates stunning cliffs and rolling hills. This also means that are many elevation changes on the island. While this adds to Isla's charm and creates a scenic view from Pumbas Paradise where you'll be able to see the bright blue of the ocean peaking through the trees, it also means that our property may be less accessible for guests with mobility challenges. The highest point at Pumbas Paradise is 3.5 meter (11 feet) higher than our main access on the street. This means there are several stairs to reach the house and its terraces. Please consider this when making your reservation.
Getting around on Isla Mujeres
Pumbas Paradise is located on the southern end of the island. The southern end offers a more peaceful, laid-back atmosphere than the bustling town center in the north near the ferry.
Despite its calmer vibe, there’s plenty to explore nearby. You’ll find breathtaking ocean views, Punta Sur with its dramatic cliffs and Mayan temple, quiet beaches, beach clubs, boutique stores, an art gallery and great restaurants! All within walking distance from Pumbas Paradise.
When you are ready to further explore the island, getting around is easy. The island is only 7 km long and 1.5 km wide. You can rent a golf cart or scooter, hop on a bike, or take the local bus, which loops around the island every 30 minutes. The bus stop is conveniently located just to the right as you exit the ferry — and it stops right in front of our door. There are furthermore plenty of taxis happy to drive you around for approximately MNX $150-200 per ride.
